I bought this at the Port Marion Christmas Market just before Christmas after stopping at the Bare Soap stall for a chat. I explained that I’m into running and mountaineering and was looking for something for the bath — ideally with magnesium — to help with tired, aching muscles.
The gentleman on the stall (whose name I’m really sorry I can’t remember) was brilliant. He took the time to talk it through properly, explained what would work best, and recommended this muscle soak. What really sold it was the fact that he uses this exact one himself in the bath and confidently guaranteed that I’d love it.
He was absolutely right.
It smells amazing and genuinely helps with post-exercise aches and pains. It’s now a regular part of my recovery routine after long days in the hills or a run. The whole conversation was friendly and relaxed — there was even a tongue-in-cheek joke about baths that was clearly just humour and part of a really enjoyable interaction, not a sales pitch.
I’ve been so impressed that I’ve just gone back and ordered two refill bags — a great environmentally friendly option too.
