WHY USE FACE OILS?
Face oils are an excellent way to get antioxidants and vitamins quickly into the skin. Oils are absorbed quickly, and soften the appearance of fine lines. Essential oils are naturally packed with antioxidants, and create a protective barrier against harsh and uncaring external factors, like pollution, environmental toxins, even over cleansing.
Still lightweight, and incredibly aromatic, the oils penetrate surface layers of your skin and maintain moisture for a brighter more radiant appearance. Natural face oils actually nourish your skin with intense moisture and help keep your skin clear and balanced.
SO WHICH ONE IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
Here’s a guide to our 4 Face Oils (minus our 2 beard and face oils, sorry!):
Neroli, Green Tea and Lavender Natural Face Oil
Ideally suited for normal and/or acne prone skin. Here’s a guide to one of the ingredients:
Green Tea: Aromatic, perennial shrub with large green leaves and white-pink flowers. The essential oil comes from the leaves. Green tea has antioxidants that benefit the skin in many ways and can even be used to treat acne. It’s one of the most natural ways to help your skin appear brighter and flawless.
Rose Geranium, Hibiscus & Carrot Seed Natural Face Oil
Ideally suited for dry and/or mature skin. Here’s a guide to one of the ingredients:
Carrot Seed Oil: This oil is extracted through steam distillation, mainly from the dried seeds of carrot. This gentle oil is famous for its antibacterial and healing properties. It is great for infusing moisture to dry skin.
Vanilla, Raspberry and Liquorice Natural Face Oil
Ideally suited for sensitive, eczema or rosacea skin. Here’s a guide to one of the ingredients:
Liquorice: Liquorice root has a good reputation as being helpful for sensitive skin. It contains an active compound called “glabridin.” The oil can also help diminish the appearance of dark under-eye circles, discolouration and age spots. The root also has powerful antioxidants that help protect the skin from environmental stressors, as well as “licochalcone,” which helps balance oil, making this a good ingredient for those with oily skin.
Nettle & Bergamot Natural Face Oil for Men
Ideal for all skin types. Here’s a guide to one of the ingredients:
Nettle: The stinging nettle is a herb that can be found growing in many areas around the world, including Wales. Nettle leaf extracts are also used as a skin tonic for oily, acne-prone skin. Nettle has astringent properties, which helps in treating skin issues. Anti-inflammatory properties also help healthy, hydrated skin.
WHEN SHOULD I USE FACE OIL?
We recommend putting on face oil first thing in the morning or last thing at night after showering or cleansing and before applying or removing make up (or following shaving). This way, your hair follicles and pores are open and can easily absorb the oil. Caring for skin, particularly cleansing and moisturising, is crucial to helping maintain your skin.
